The Problem We Solve

Why We Started

Behaviour Bridge was built to solve a specific problem in the NDIS: too many Behaviour Support Plans are beautifully written but impossible to implement in real life.

When a participant is dealing with severe emotional dysregulation, aggression, or absconding, a 40-page document doesn’t help a support worker in the middle of a crisis. We started Behaviour Bridge to provide practical, hands-on support that actually changes the reality on the ground.

Our Approach

How We Work

We don’t just assess and write a report. We use the B.R.I.D.G.E System to ensure that every strategy we recommend is actually viable for the family and support team to use.

We spend time in the home, the school, and the community. We coach support workers. We adjust strategies when they fail. We stay involved until the situation stabilises and the risk is reduced.

Meet the Founder

Meet Julianne

Julianne Shepley founded Behaviour Bridge after years working on the frontline of disability support. She saw firsthand the gap between clinical theory and the daily reality of managing complex behaviours.

Her approach is direct, practical, and deeply empathetic to the burnout that families and support teams experience when dealing with high-risk situations.

A Behaviour Support Plan is only as good as the people who implement it. Our job isn't just to write the plan — it's to make sure it actually works in real life.

Guided by What Matters Most

What Guides Our Work

At Behaviour Bridge, every part of Positive Behaviour Support is grounded in values that promote dignity, independence and meaningful participation. These values guide every plan, every conversation and every strategy.

Dignity first

Every strategy protects the person’s rights, choice, and humanity.

Family centred practice

Support is compassionate, collaborative, and shaped around daily life.

Evidence based intervention

All decisions are informed by reliable behavioural science.

Least restrictive approach

We prioritise safety through positive skill building, not control.

Clear, practical communication

Strategies are simple, visual, and easy for everyone to use.

Who We Are For

Why Families & Coordinators Choose Us

Families and Support Coordinators come to us when things have gotten hard — when behaviours are escalating, when previous plans have failed, and when the support team is at breaking point.

They choose us because we don’t put complex cases in the “too hard” basket. We show up, we provide clear direction, and we work alongside the team to rebuild safety and quality of life.
