Beni brings a compassionate, trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach to Positive Behaviour Support. She holds a Bachelor of Counselling and has extensive experience across the care sector, including work with children and young people in out-of-home care, adults, disability support and nursing-home settings.
Beni is particularly drawn to supporting children and young people with complex support needs. She works confidently alongside families and support teams when behaviour may include aggression, heightened distress or demand-avoidant/PDA presentations, always beginning with curiosity about the person’s communication, experiences and unmet needs. Her approach is warm, respectful and practical, focused on building trust and creating strategies that strengthen safety, participation and quality of life.
With many years of direct support-work experience, Beni understands the everyday realities faced by staff. She provides clear guidance and coaching that can be used in real environments, including homes, schools and shared-support settings. Her practice is non-judgemental and strengths-based, helping people feel understood rather than defined by their behaviour.
Beni also brings strong report-writing and stakeholder-collaboration skills. She currently has capacity to support new NDIS participants across Eastern and North Eastern Melbourne, including Warrandyte, Doncaster, Templestowe, Ringwood, Bayswater, Croydon, Eltham, Boronia and surrounding suburbs.
