Why We Come to You

At Behaviour Bridge, we believe that effective Positive Behaviour Support is best delivered where life happens. That’s why we provide outreach-based services, with sessions taking place directly in the comfort of your home, within school environments, out in the community, or at the workplace.

In Sorrento, where life often revolves around the beach, local cafes, and the bustling Sorrento Quay, understanding behaviour in these natural settings is crucial. Our approach ensures strategies are effective where they matter most, whether it’s navigating social interactions at a local park, managing routines at home near the coast, or engaging in community activities around the marina.

🏠 Home

We work with individuals and families in their own homes to build consistent routines and supportive environments.

🏫 School

Our practitioners collaborate with educators to implement behaviour support strategies that promote learning and positive social interactions.

🌳 Community

We support participation in local Sorrento activities, from enjoying the beach to visiting Sorrento Quay, helping individuals build confidence in public settings.

💼 Workplace

For adults, we provide tailored support to develop skills and strategies for successful engagement in their employment settings.

🌊 Respite & Short Breaks

We support individuals and their families during respite and short break arrangements, ensuring positive experiences and continuity of behaviour strategies.

🎓 Day Programs & TAFE

Our practitioners work alongside day program staff and TAFE educators to implement practical strategies that support participation and skill development.

What Support Coordinators Need to Know

For our valued Support Coordinators, we want to be clear: Behaviour Support Plans are typically released within three months of engagement. We pride ourselves on efficiency and getting these crucial documents into your hands promptly.

BUT, and this is where the real magic happens, a plan that just sits in a drawer does nothing! Our primary focus is on implementation. We work closely with families, carers, and support workers to ensure that the strategies outlined in the BSP are not just theoretical, but are actively and consistently applied in daily life, leading to meaningful change.

We currently have immediate capacity in Sorrento, meaning no lengthy waitlists for your clients. We invite you to refer to Behaviour Bridge with confidence, knowing your clients will receive timely and effective support.

A Story From Sorrento

Twenty-four-year-old Caleb in Sorrento struggled with managing stress while living independently. PBS strategies included daily mindfulness routines and use of a mood diary app. His support worker checked in regularly and encouraged positive routines like walks on the beach. Meet Your Northern Corridor Practitioner

Alicia Mulligan - PBS Practitioner at Behaviour Bridge

Alicia Mulligan

PBS Practitioner

Meet Alicia Mulligan, your local Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner dedicated to the Sorrento community. Alicia brings a compassionate and tailored approach to fostering positive change right here in our neighbourhood, helping individuals thrive in their everyday lives. We’re delighted to have her expertise enriching our coastal community.

Alicia Mulligan joins Behaviour Bridge as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner and she is genuinely one of those practitioners you feel lucky to have on your team. Her specialty lies in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3, with a particular focus on non-verbal and minimally verbal participants, an area where experienced, confident practitioners are few and far between.

What sets Alicia apart isn’t just her clinical skill, it’s the way she shows up for the people she supports. With a deep and longstanding background in the disability industry, she brings a level of practical insight and genuine connection that is hard to teach. She understands the full picture: the family dynamics, the support worker pressures, the funding realities, and she works with all of it, not around it.
