Why We Come to You

At Behaviour Bridge, we understand that effective Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is best delivered where it matters most: in the natural environments of daily life. That’s why we provide outreach-based PBS, meaning our dedicated practitioners come to you. Whether it’s in the comfort of your home, the structured setting of a school, within the broader community, or at a workplace, our sessions are designed to integrate seamlessly into your routine, offering practical, real-world strategies.

Behaviour happens in context, not in a clinic. For the diverse and active community of Balga, this means our support is tailored to the places you frequent and the activities you engage in. We work with individuals and families in their homes, at local schools like Balga Primary, within the bustling Balga Plaza, or during community activities at the Balga Recreation Centre, ensuring strategies are effective and sustainable in your everyday life.

🏠 Home

We provide personalised support and strategies directly in your home environment, fostering positive interactions where they begin.

🏫 School

Our practitioners collaborate with educators and students in Balga schools to create supportive learning environments and address behavioural challenges.

🌳 Community

We support participation and skill-building in Balga’s community spaces, from local parks to the Balga Recreation Centre, enhancing engagement and confidence.

💼 Workplace

For adults, we offer tailored strategies and support within their workplace, promoting independence and successful employment outcomes.

🌊 Respite & Short Breaks

We support individuals and their families during respite and short break arrangements, ensuring positive experiences and continuity of behaviour strategies.

🎓 Day Programs & TAFE

Our practitioners work alongside day program staff and TAFE educators to implement practical strategies that support participation and skill development.

What Support Coordinators Need to Know

For our valued Support Coordinators, we want to be clear: Behaviour Bridge is committed to delivering timely and impactful support. You can expect Behaviour Support Plans to be released within approximately three months of engagement. We understand the importance of clear timelines and strive to meet them consistently.

However, a Behaviour Support Plan that simply sits in a drawer does nothing! We believe the true measure of success lies in implementation. Our team works closely with families, carers, and support workers, providing hands-on coaching and practical strategies to ensure the plan’s recommendations are integrated into daily life, making a tangible difference where it counts.

We are pleased to confirm immediate capacity for new referrals in Balga. There are no lengthy waitlists here; we are ready to engage and provide the support your participants need without delay. We invite you to refer participants to Behaviour Bridge, knowing they will receive prompt and dedicated attention.

A Story From Balga

In Balga, four-year-old Noah was prone to throwing toys when frustrated at home. PBS consultants recommended introducing ‘emotion faces’ charts and a soft ‘squeeze ball’ as an alternative outlet. Parents modelled calming strategies, and they created a ‘cool-down box’ with Noah’s favourite books. Gradually, Noah used words and objects to express feelings, reducing tantrums and delighting his parents.

Her specialty lies in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3, with a particular focus on non-verbal and minimally verbal participants , an area where experienced, confident practitioners are few and far between.
