Why We Come to You

At Behaviour Bridge, we understand that effective Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) isn’t about clinical settings; it’s about real life. That’s why we offer outreach-based support, meeting you and your loved ones where it matters most – in your home, at school, within the community, or even in the workplace. Our approach ensures that strategies are developed and implemented in the very environments where behaviour occurs, making them practical, relevant, and sustainable.

Behaviour happens in context, not in a clinic. For the families of Currambine, this means our support is tailored to your daily routines and local environment. Whether it’s navigating the bustling aisles of Currambine Central, enjoying the open spaces of the local parks, or engaging with school activities, we work within these familiar settings. This contextual understanding allows us to develop truly effective strategies that integrate seamlessly into your life, fostering positive change right where you need it.

🎓 Day Programs & TAFE

What Support Coordinators Need to Know

We know that as a Support Coordinator, you need clear and timely communication. At Behaviour Bridge, we pride ourselves on delivering Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) efficiently, with most plans released within three months of engagement. We understand the importance of having these documents in hand to guide support and ensure NDIS compliance.

BUT – and this is a big “but” – a beautifully written BSP that just sits in a drawer does absolutely nothing! Our real focus, and where the magic truly happens, is in the *implementation*. We work hand-in-hand with families, carers, and support workers in Currambine to ensure that the strategies outlined in the plan are understood, practiced, and integrated into daily life. We’re here to coach, to problem-solve, and to celebrate every small victory, making sure the plan comes alive and creates meaningful change.

We currently have immediate capacity for new referrals in Currambine, meaning no lengthy waitlists for the individuals and families you support. We invite you to reach out and refer participants who would benefit from our dedicated, outreach-based Positive Behaviour Support services.

A Story From Currambine

Seventeen-year-old Sophie from Currambine found loud social events overwhelming, causing her to withdraw abruptly. Her PBS team designed a ‘safe space’ plan at school events and a ‘calm-down kit’ with headphones and squeeze toys. She learned to recognize signs of overwhelm and advocate for breaks. This enabled Sophie to participate more fully in celebrations and feel included.

Meet Your Northern Corridor Practitioner

Alicia Mulligan - PBS Practitioner at Behaviour Bridge

Alicia Mulligan

PBS Practitioner

It’s our pleasure to introduce Alicia Mulligan to the Currambine community, a compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner ready to empower individuals and families right here in your neighbourhood. With a deep understanding of local needs, Alicia brings her unique expertise to foster positive change and enhanced well-being for all. We’re delighted to have her as part of our team, serving the northern corridor.

Alicia Mulligan joins Behaviour Bridge as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner and she is genuinely one of those practitioners you feel lucky to have on your team. Her specialty lies in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3, with a particular focus on non-verbal and minimally verbal participants, which is an area where experienced, confident practitioners are few and far between.

What sets Alicia apart isn’t just her clinical skill, which is it’s the way she shows up for the people she supports. With a deep and longstanding background in the disability industry, she brings a level of practical insight and genuine connection that is hard to teach. She understands the full picture: the family dynamics, the support worker pressures, the funding realities, and she works with all of it, not around it.

I particularly love the sense of community here, especially around places like Currambine Central, where I’ve seen firsthand how our support can help individuals thrive in their local environment.
