Why We Come to You

At Behaviour Bridge, we believe that effective Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is best delivered in the environments where it truly matters. That’s why we provide outreach-based PBS, with sessions taking place directly in the home, school, community, or workplace. Our approach ensures that support is practical, relevant, and integrated into daily life, making it easier for individuals and their support networks to implement strategies consistently.

Behaviour doesn’t happen in a clinic; it happens in context. For the families of Alkimos, this means our practitioners can observe and understand behaviours in the natural settings of their coastal homes, the bustling local parks, or during community activities along the Alkimos Beach foreshore. This contextual understanding is crucial for developing strategies that genuinely fit into an individual’s life and lead to lasting positive change within this unique beachside community.

What Support Coordinators Need to Know

We understand the importance of timely and effective support. That’s why Behaviour Bridge is committed to releasing Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) within approximately three months of engagement. We pride ourselves on a streamlined process that gets vital strategies into the hands of those who need them, without unnecessary delays.

BUT – let’s be honest, a beautifully written BSP that just sits in a drawer does absolutely nothing! Our real focus is on implementation. We work closely with families, carers, and support workers in Alkimos to ensure that the strategies aren’t just theoretical, but are practical, understood, and consistently applied in daily life. We’re here to make sure those plans actually come to life.

For your clients in Alkimos, we currently have immediate capacity and no lengthy waitlists. We invite you to refer with confidence, knowing that your clients will receive prompt, dedicated, and outreach-based Positive Behaviour Support tailored to their needs in this wonderful coastal community.

A Story From Alkimos

Mark, a 30-year-old man living in supported accommodation in Alkimos, had difficulty adjusting to new roommates, often fleeing the house when stressed. PBS implemented a personalized social stories approach and set up a ‘safe space’ within the home where Mark could retreat. Staff ensured consistent routines and gentle reminders. This created a calmer living environment where Mark felt understood and increasingly comfortable socialising.
