Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners in Perth & WA

Meet the Behaviour Bridge practitioners supporting participants, families, support coordinators and care teams across the Perth metropolitan area and the South West. Behaviour Bridge is a registered NDIS provider and works as a mobile clinic — sessions take place in the home, school and community rather than a consulting room.

Perth practitioners and who they work best with

Amy Coulter, Natalija O’Connell and Rhea Williams currently have capacity for new Perth referrals. Matching a participant to the right practitioner matters more than filling the next available slot.

Amy Coulter

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner | Northern Corridor

Amy brings a warm, practical and evidence-informed approach to Positive Behaviour Support. She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology, with more than three years’ experience supporting children with autism and developmental delay.

She is a strong fit for referrals involving children and young people who need consistent, practical support across home, school and community settings.

Amy works alongside families, educators, support workers and multidisciplinary teams to turn behaviour support strategies into everyday routines. Her experience includes implementing behaviour support plans, completing functional behaviour assessments and task analyses, using data to monitor progress, and supporting functional communication and reinforcement approaches that are meaningful in real life.

Referrers can expect a patient, collaborative and strengths-based approach. Amy focuses on helping the people around a participant feel clear and confident about what to do, with strategies grounded in dignity, practical fit and least-restrictive support.

Rhea Williams, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Behaviour Bridge

Rhea Williams

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner | Perth Metro & South West

Rhea brings a justice-informed lens to Positive Behaviour Support, shaped by a Bachelor and Master of Criminology and around six years working across justice sector behaviour change programs and NDIS therapeutic and capacity-building supports. Where a behaviour looks like the problem on the surface, Rhea looks for what it is doing for the person: the function, the environment, and the risk factors sitting underneath it. Rhea is careful to separate the behaviour from the person, and works from the belief that lasting change comes from understanding someone fully, not just managing what they do.

As a Program Facilitator for therapeutic offending programs delivered in prison, Rhea worked directly with complex and high-risk behaviour, giving her a depth of experience with high-complexity presentations that most PBS practitioners have not had to build. She works primarily with people with autism and psychosocial disabilities, and brings the same educational, supportive and warm approach to every person she works with, whatever the complexity of their presentation. Her plans are built to be realistically implementable, not just technically correct: something support workers, families and other services can actually pick up and use.

  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Criminology | Master of Criminology | Diploma of Counselling (in progress)
  • Registration: NDIS Registered Core Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Previous Experience: Program Facilitator, Therapeutic Offending Programs | NDIS Therapeutic Supports | Capacity-Building Supports
  • Service Areas: Perth Metro and the South West, including Dunsborough, Busselton, Yallingup and surrounds

Best fit for: Adults and young people with autism or psychosocial disability, high-complexity or high-risk presentations including justice-involved participants, and teams who need a plan support workers can realistically pick up and use.

Positive Behaviour Support services

Support that works beyond the written plan. A Behaviour Support Plan is only useful when it changes how daily life actually feels — at home, at school and in the community.

Assessment and planning

Functional Behaviour Assessments, Interim Behaviour Support Plans and comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans. Assessment looks at the patterns, environments, communication and unmet needs behind behaviours of concern, rather than treating the behaviour in isolation.

Implementation and coaching

Practical support for families, educators, support workers and other stakeholders to put strategies into practice, so they are applied consistently between sessions.

Review and ongoing support

Plan review, monitoring, liaison with treating teams, and restrictive practice support where relevant.

Behaviour Bridge works alongside support coordinators, families and care teams from referral through to plan review, with clear communication about progress and timeframes. Plans are generally released within approximately three months of engagement, but the focus stays on implementation: a plan is far more useful when the people around a participant feel confident putting it into practice.

Referrals can be submitted through the NDIS referral form, or contact the team directly on 0414 632 350 or julianne@behaviourbridge.com.au.

Western Suburbs availability: Natalija O’Connell currently has eight new participant places. View Natalija’s Swanbourne page and check current availability.
